Built in 1912, E. A. Walker purchased the home in 1927. Walker was a prominent banker and was said to have had the largest real estate holdings of any individual in the state. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 1938. In 1970, a 12-story residence hall on the University of Oklahoma campus was named Walker Tower in his memory. OUr Tower!!
