History

A developer built this red brick home in 1922 and sold it to Mrs. Nevada W. Rogers, the widow of a man who had owned a lumberyard in town.

The Alexander family lived in the home in the  1970s. Mr. Alexander was popular with the neighborhood kids as he worked for a wholesale candy supplier!

There was a large tree by the sidewalk next to the corner of 14th and Lee that was Home Base for the nightly game of Hide and Seek in the summer for all the neighborhood kids and families. The boundaries were the four homes on the corner of 14th and Lee. As soon as it was dusk all the kids would come out of their homes and head to the corner!
