History

This is an early version of a colonial revival home, built in 1904 and 1905 by Mr. George H. Brauer. A native of Germany, Brauer was vice president and treasurer of the Classen Company.

Clyde & Jonnie Riggs and their three children purchased the home in the 1960s and made major repairs & renovations. Jonnie was known for her love of art and antiques and her large china collection. Their older son, Derek, built a tree house in the back that was very popular with all the neighborhood kids. The Riggs’ front yard was the site of many whiffle ball games played by all the kids on the street!
