History

This Victorian-era design home was built by Mr. Warren E. Moore in 1906. It expresses Gothic design in the vertical emphasis of the façade, the steeply pitched roof, and the wrap-around porch.

Moore was familiar with the neighborhood, for he was the chief engineer with the Oklahoma City Railway Company, the firm founded by John Shartel, Anton Classen, and others to build the street car lines north to Heritage Hills. Moore later organized his own civil engineering firm and helped design some of the city’s major construction projects.
