Every home on the block from this point west was built by G.A. Nichols. This English cottage home, built in 1924 at a cost of $7,000, was sold two years later to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Urschel, brother-in-law and sister of Tom Slick, one of the most colorful oilmen in the country. After the death of his wife, Urschel remained in the home until 1932, when he and the widow of Slick, his former sister-in-law, married and moved into the home at327 N. W. 18th. Subsequent owners included Dr. and Mrs. Willard Aronson, who moved into the home in 1978, enclosed a sleeping porch, and remodeled.
