This brick territorial home was constructed in 1908 by developer C.P. Sikes. A welcoming partially covered front porch extends the full length of the front of the house, with a wrought-iron railing gracing the front. The house opens immediately to a double-parlor style living room, with fireplaces on both the west and east walls and oak woodwork throughout.

Sikes sold the home to Mr. and Mrs. Douglas B. Crane for $9,000. Crane, an attorney, remained only until 1919, then sold it to Dennis J. Jorden, president of the Blue Ridge and Sans Bois coal companies and a real estate investor.

The home was purchased in 1964 by Dr. J. Rodman and Milly Seely. They modernized and renovated the home during the ensuing years while raising their three daughters, Diana, Lynn, and Tricia.

Rod was born July 28,1927, in Willard, Utah. He attended the University of Utah where he received his BS, medical degree, and Doctor of Philosophy in biological chemistry. Dr. Seely was recruited to Oklahoma City by the University of Oklahoma Medical School to direct the Clinical Research Center. He cared for children with genetic and endocrine diseases. Mildred Diane Cook “Milly” was born August 24, 1933, in Evanston, Illinois. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1955. Milly was known for her love of sewing and taught lessons in their home to many of their friends and neighbors. Milly died May 19, 1983, at the age of 49.

Rod later married Susan Holmes in 1986. Susan was born in Enid, OK on October 16, 1944, and lived in Fairview. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in education and was an elementary school teacher in Oklahoma City. Susan and Rod enjoyed traveling, playing golf and bridge, and spending time with family and friends. They remained in the home until 2007. Rod died October 27, 2017, at age 90. Susan died May 1, 2024, at the age of 79.

Dr. Timothy Lyons purchased the house in April of 2007. In addition to cosmetic changes, he completed major foundation repairs, put on a new roof, and updated all gas, electric and plumbing. He featured the home on the 2010 Home Tour.
