In his rush to develop the block in one summer, G.A. Nichols somehow lost this lot to William L. Brown, a salesman for Anton Classen’s real estate company. Brown took out a building permit for $8,000, and using one of Nichols’ favorite floor plans, started work on this two-story frame home.

After moving in for a short time, William sold the place to Mrs. and Mrs. Lev Prichard. Lev, one of the state’s most successful oilmen, remained in the home on 20th until 1930, when he moved to 18th.
