Charles G. Gervin, built this home in 1915 and it was the first home on the block.. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1910 and built a chain of laundries and remained until his death. Following the death of Mrs. Gervin in 1951, the two story Colonial Revival home was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Howard K. Berry, both of whom had grown up in Oklahoma City. Mr. Berry, an attorney, and his wife began a major remodeling. They removed the old boiler and installed central heat and air. They added two bathrooms, removed the crumbling front porch, and built the unique central tower with curved corner windows, They also installed chandeliers from New Orleans, closed an original skylight, and filled the house with antiques from the Saratoga Hotel in Saratoga Springs.
