In 1918 Lula and Roy S. Randerson paid $3,600 for the lots on 16th and began work on this two-story brick home. Roy was a native of Indiana who came to Oklahoma City in 1907 and joined the investment firm of F.C. Finerty, which would eventually become Fidelity Bank. In 1914 Roy organized his own "Mortgage Loans and Investments" firm. He also owned a 960-acre ranch in Grady County, complete with stocker herds of short horn cattle, Duroc-Jersey hogs, and fields of alfalfa. Roy and Lula had two children, Margaret Ellen “Randy”, and Roy, Jr.

William J. Pettee lived in the home from 1921 to 1928. Born in 1867 in Michigan, he was an 89er and owner of the Pettee Hardware Store. The store was a famous emporium where customers could buy "hardware, vehicles, house furnishings, chinaware, paints, sporting goods, and electrical supplies." William died in 1928 at the age of 61.

In 1940 it was sold to Elizabeth and Frank Sullivan. A native of Indiana, Frank was in the insurance business, while Elizabeth grew up in Heritage Hills at 600 N. W. 15th.
