History
Prior to buying the house at 320 N.W. 19th, the Coyles lived in this home, which G.A. Nichols sold to them for “$1.00 and love and affection.” They moved across the street in 1926.
In 1937 Gladys and Barton Law purchased the home. Barton, a native of Texas, moved to Oklahoma City after World War I and started a wholesale grocery company. They added a clubroom and a sunroom on the east side of the home, and a music room and sleeping room on the west end. At some point the front porch also was radically altered.
