History

After John F. Winans platted his addition in 1907, little construction followed until World War I. This lot, however, was one of the few that sold quickly, purchased by George W. Holman in 1909. Ten years later he mortgaged the land and built this “modern” bungalow with an open floor plan, oak woodwork, and generous supply of windows. In 1974 it was purchased by Dr. and Mrs. John A. Hermann, who remodeled, repainted, and retained the simplicity of the craftsman style home.
