History

Sitting among a block of Colonial Revival homes, this pure bungalow stands out with its exposed rafter tails, low-pitched roof, and strong horizontal lines. It was built in 1920 by G.A. Nichols, then sold to Mr. M. Day Fezler, owner/operator of Fezler’s Boot Shop at 229 W. Main.

The Fezlers remained in the home until 1965, and were followed by a succession of families until 1983, when it was purchased by Mr. Bob Molfese. Bob repaired and replaced foundation stem walls, relevelled floors, installed central heat and air, added storm windows, replaced the roof, remodeled the bathrooms, rewired, replaced the driveway and sidewalks, and remodeled the interior.
