This home represents another variation on the typical Colonial Revival home popular between 1910 and 1925. Instead of a central entryway with a classical portico, this house has a large front porch that wraps across the entire width of the home. The porch in turn is supported by massive brick columns, a feature that visually dominates the facade. Andrew R. Hickam, a former school teacher, principal, and superintendent of Oklahoma City Public Schools, built the home in 1915 at a cost of $5000.

In 1964 Mr. and Mrs. Tom Corr moved into the home and began a gradual facelift. They replaced damaged ceilings and walls, rewired, remodeled the kitchen, replumbed, installed central heat and air, and added a bathroom downstairs. Outside, they laid a new driveway.
