History
William R. Samuel, secretary of the Oklahoma Banker’s Association, was the first resident in this two-story frame home constructed in 1920.Architecturally, it is a typical combination of a Colonial Revival floorplan and bungalow exterior features. During the 1960s the home was converted to three apartments and suffered from mismanagement. After years of negotiation with HPI, the owner was persuaded to sell it. It was later purchased and renovated by Mr. and Mrs. James M. Sharp, III. Their daughters attended Wilson Elementary and then were orchestra majors at Classen School of Advanced Studies where they played the harp.
