This Colonial Revival home was built in 1924 by John Wild, a farm inspector for loan companies. The architect took the basic design and added a sweeping front porch and porte-cochere, which is a reflection of Frank Lloyd Wright's prairie school of architecture. It incorporates strong horizontal lines, wide eaves and decorative use of windows.

Mr. Ray Schlageter purchased the home in 1997 and featured it on the 1998 Home Tour. An avid collector of motorcycles, cars and vintage racing art, the decor was a mixture of art deco and European antique furniture.
