History
This two-bedroom garden bungalow was built in 1921. The frame home has a balanced façade and classical entryway. The first owners were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Stephens who lived there for 40 years. They were followed by Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Newlin who lived there for the next 30 years until the early 1990s.
Charley and Brenda Hall moved in as newlyweds in 1995. Charley was from Missouri and Brenda was from Utah. The interior had been restored and updated in the late 1980s, so the Halls focused their energies on fine-tuning and on sprucing up the exterior and the gardens. They reinstalled the original window boxes, built a trellis over the east porch, and spent three years creating a garden oasis complete with two ponds, a waterfall, a stone bench and rock gardens. The Halls featured their home on the 1999 Historic Home Tour.
