History
Mr. and Mrs. John Shofner moved into this bungalow in 1920. John was a middle manager. Throughout his career he was vice president of Southwest National Bank, assistant to the State Banking Commissioner, a bank examiner, vice president with Capitol State Bank, and assistant division director of the State Tax Commission.
In 1988, after the home had been purchased twice by HPI, it was sold to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Toumey, who cleared brush and trees from around the foundation, added central heat and air conditioning, and remodeled.
