Completed in the early months of 1922, this home was sold to Mr. and Mrs. John W. Pemberton and their daughter, Betty, for $15,000. Mr. Pemberton was a department manager with the Bradburn Insurance Agency and later a salesman with the Carroll, Brough, and Robinson wholesale grocery firm. They remained in the home until the 1960s.

In May of 2006, Carla and Charles Flournoy began renovations to the home. They installed woodwork and a hexagon tile floor in the small foyer. In the living room, which extends the full width of the house, they restored the fireplace to its former glory with its style-typical arched opening and heavy, oak mantle. They installed new, custom-built cabinetry in the kitchen with bead board insets and vintage-look drawer pulls that were topped with a green granite. They also installed a Heartland gas stove. The kitchen featured maple floors and ladder-back stairs that led back to the living room and to the upstairs.

The upstairs had three bedrooms and a full bathroom with a claw foot tub. They kept original black and white wall tiles in the bathroom and added new granite wainscoting on the walls. The master bedroom had been chopped into two bedrooms. The Flournoys opted to remove the wall and reestablish it as a large room with a sitting area in front of a fireplace and natural light pouring into the windows on two sides. They also converted the two-car garage  into a large, one-car garage with a guest apartment on the other side. The Flournoys featured their home on the 2010 Historic Homes Tour.
