History

Herbert C. and Agnes Henderson bought this “modern” bungalow in 1923 from developer J.J. Kirsch, who had taken out a $3,000 building permit the year before. Herbert was editor of the Sunday Oklahoman. After the Hendersons moved out, the home changed hands routinely for the next forty-five years until it was purchased by Dr. A. Chadwick Cox, a biochemist at the OU Health Sciences Center.
