History
This was “house number three” in the grand open house exhibition organized by Nichols in the fall of 1926. Described in the literature of the day as Italian Renaissance, it incorporates an unusual configuration with the front two rooms facing each other across an entry courtyard. Like its neighbor, the home is stuccoed and painted a pale yellow.
Since its construction, the home has been owned by a number of families, including Mrs. May Maxwell, the original resident; Clyde Ingram, who built an addition on the back of the house; and Mr. and Mrs. Steven White, who moved in in 1979 and began a complete remodeling.
