This home was built by G.A. Nichols in 1925 and sold to Elijah Barnes, vice president of Midwest Enterprises, an entertainment company operated by John and Peter Sinopoulo that included the Midwest, Warner, Libert, and Folly theaters. The Barnes family remained in the home until 1957.
