History
This brick duplex was constructed in 1921 by J.K. Alford, a physician with offices in the Medical Arts Building.
It is a two-story brick place with strong horizontal lines, massive brick columns, decorative stonework, and a porte-cochere. Alford lived in this property until1928, when Ella Classen moved in. At the time she was president of the Classen Company.
